An hard boiled egg, please...
...ovvero, il giro del mondo in 80 treni. ;-)

Settimana scorsa mi accingo a prendere il bus per andare in stazione e rientrare a casa. Aspetto 5 min.. 10 min... 20 min... mezzora... Scopro da alcuni passanti che i bus non passano causa una manifestazione in centro. Attraverso la città di corsa con zaini e portatile e, ovviamente, perdo il treno. Riesco a fare al volo un biglietto regionale per Firenze dove riesco a piazzarmi su un treno per casa. Arrivo cotto e zuppo [il maglione levato a Firenze era ancora fradicio il pomeriggio dopo] maledicendo i manifestanti e scopro che stanno manifestando contro i tagli all'università e alla ricerca... in pratica per difendere il mio stipendio... e per farlo mi hanno fatto spendere quasi 40€ di treni... ^^; E' in questi momenti che mi vengono in mente le parole di Vimes in Night Watch:

Reg Shoe: "You'd like Freedom, Truth and Justice, wouldn't you, comrade sergeant?"
Vimes: "I'd like a hard-boiled egg."
Reg Shoe: "In the circumstances, sergeant, I think we should set our sights a little higher--"
Vimes: "Well, yes, we could. But... well, Reg, tomorrow the sun will come up again, and I'm pretty sure that whatever happens we won't have found Freedom, and there won't be a whole lot of Justice, and I'm damn sure we won't have found Truth. But it's just possible that I might get a hard-boiled egg."
